At the wheel of the Rizzardi….
Nicola Giordano is the Royal Group Hotels & Resort’s captain and skipper
of the Rizzardi 50 Top Line, the new exclusive luxury charter yacht which joined
the historical Neapolitan hotel chain this year.
Giordano’s career started as a tuna fisherman in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans,
he then sailed on some large boats like the 40-metre Croce del Sud and the 60-metre
Altair. He also sailed on the historical Amerigo Vespucci on its cruise campaign
to Leningrad.
Today Captain Giordano can say he is a “well-sailed man” and to have spent more
than 20 years on exclusive yachts, taking part in ocean crossings that brought
him as far as the mysterious and fascinating South American seaboard.
Mediterranean, Red Sea, Baltic and Atlantic crossings, are just some of the routes
that his ships have sailed and which his guests have enjoyed.
Apart from being a skilled skipper he is also an excellent cook who delights
his guests with refined specialities, using the local product that can be found
in the various ports in which his ship docks.
